May 2018 - New Job Vacancy at our Nottingham site - IT Support Technician
We require an IT Support Technician who is looking for a new challenge. The position is to provide a range of IT support services to the company and will necessitate duties performed either independently or as part of a team. The TQC systems include several Microsoft Windows and Linux servers which provide the basic services for about 30 employees currently running Windows 7 / 10. A range of applications currently in use include Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
The successful candidate will show an understanding of this technology and an aptitude and enthusiasm to maintain and develop the TQC IT infrastructure.
The role will include:
- Taking some technical responsibility for IT systems.
- Server support and maintenance including backup and security.
- Hardware / Software installation & configuration.
- Daily end-user support of their desktop applications.
- Ongoing development of the IT infrastructure.
- Appropriate documentation.
Academic qualifications will be less important than the ability to demonstrate understanding, aptitude and enthusiasm for the role, but some Microsoft training and / or qualification will be an advantage. It is assumed that the applicant will already have some level of practical hands-on experience in this field.
